Kielans Model Viewer

Kielans 3D Model Viewer is a simple tool for loading  3D Models to view and quickly take pictures of a model.  The tool is still in development and currently only runs on windows - developed using DIrectX and C++.

The idea behind the tool is to allow artists and developers to quickly load in models and textures to take pictures of the model

How to Use:

• Load in a model by clicking the Load Model Button
• Load in a texture by clicking the Load Texture Button
• Turn wireframe on if desired.
• Make sure show scene gui is selected
• Change Camera position and rotation if desired
• Change Model postion, rotation and scale if desired
• Click the render button to export an image of the current viewport 

Supported Model Files: .fbx and .x

Supported Texture Files: .png, jpg, .jpeg, .dds

Supported Image Export Files: .png, .bmp, .gif, . tiff, jpg, .jpeg

Future Development plans:

• Improved UI (complete redo)
• Load models with the texture data (currently have to seperatly load the textures in)
• Camera/mouse picking (Currently have to use UI to move camera and model)
• Window resizing 
• Improve wireframe mode (uses the texture with the wireframe)
• Select scenes to put model in to take fantasty pictures
• Scene creation tools
• Camera settings 
• Post processing effects
• Take images at selected resolutions 
• And many more

Note: some of these features will be limited or only in the full paid release
